Spanish sage is a hardy evergreen that is perfect for the herb garden or border. The small leaves are highly aromatic. The scent is similar to rosemary while the flowers are similar in appearance to lavender (hence the Latin name). It is edible, but its best use is as flavoring in teas, ice creams, ad baked goods. It also has a long history of use in medicine.
