American Sycamore is a classic; once commonly planted as a street tree, this noble tree has fallen out of favor in recent years, but we still love it. Fast growing sycamores are some of the tallest trees native to the eastern United States. Distinctive white peeling bark lends year-round interest to the landscape.
Tolerates deer, pollution, and black walnuts, but dry soils can be the death of this tree. Be sure to site it where it will enjoy plenty of moisture.
