Eriogonum umbellatum v. aureum 'Kannah Creek'

Eriogonum umbellatum v. aureum 'Kannah Creek'

This pollinator favorite buckwheat was selected from the Kannah Creek region of Colorado. It is an excellent ground cover that adds multi-season interest to the rock or dry garden. The low carpet of leathery green leaves is topped by bright yellow-aging to orange flowers all summer. As fall temperatures set in, the foliage transitions to brilliant shades of red and purple. Seedpods will remain on the plant through winter, if not eaten by birds first. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
