Purple Love Grass is an extremely drought tolerant grass that is native to sandy soils from Maine to Minnesota, south to Florida, Arizona, and Mexico. It produces a cloud of stunning rose-red colored inflorescences in fall. Plant en masse in an open meadow or natural garden. Warm summer required for flowering. Short-lived but self-sows reliably on disturbed soil.
