Though sometimes considered old-fashioned, Campanula are a favorite genus of ours. We love the seemingly endless varieties of shapes, sizes, and colors. All are easy to grow in full sun, most are lime-lovers, none are too fussy about soil.
Cornish bellflower is a lovely plant with an informal habit. Spires of creamy white drooping flowers rise above heart-shaped leaves to illuminate the late summer border. Graham Stuart Thomas described this plant as "a picture of poise and beauty" in Perennial Garden Plants or the Modern Florilegium.
