A double petaled daisy with low-branching mauve stems and willow-like foliage. Not the most exciting plant, but it blooms for a long time and grows easily in any reasonable soil. Also spreads easily so be sure you have the space!

Weak stems fall over easily; don't bother with staking. In Dream Plants for the Natural Garden, Piet Oudolf recommends "let it topple over; since the plant just goes on flowering it eventually creates a series of mounds."
