Here is a true garden odd-ball. This false aster is incredibly tall and the lime-yellow daisy flowers have no petals. Strange! However, the dot-like flowers are adorable as they sway above the sturdy blue-green stems from late summer through fall. Though tall and narrow, this plant does not require staking. Grow it in average garden soil in sun or part shade.
Note: Cut flowers are great in arrangements.
