Columbine is a traditional English cottage garden plant. It grows best on humus rich soil in light shade, but it is not overly particular.
'Alba' is the orginial pure white version. It holds its beautiful blooms high (sometimes over 3 feet!) above the foliage.
Tip: These promiscuous plants will send forth a profusion of mixed up seedlings if not grown in isolation.
