Golden Willow is grown primarily for it's stunning display of bright yellow winter branches, but 'Aurea' looks stunning in summer as well thanks to it's bright chartreuse foliage.

Golden White Willow will grow into a full size tree, but looks best when grown as a twiggy shrub or pollarded to show off the bright stem color. Cut stems to 1 foot above the ground every year to maintain best color. Cut stems are lovely in arrangements and can be used in basketry.

Easy to grow in moist soil in full sun, but, like all willows, it is susceptible to a number of pests and diseases. Works quite well for erosion control along a stream bank.
